Just one piece of ceramic, bonded into the pulp chamber of a previously RCT treated lower molar.
For years, the default after RCT was post, core, full crown. But the tooth is already compromised after RCT. Every bit of dentin we drill away for a post is dentin it never gets back.
An endocrown flips the logic. The pulp chamber itself becomes the retention, and bonding does the heavy lifting.
It's not for every tooth. You need good chamber depth, enough wall height and supragingival margins. Case selection and bonding protocol decide everything.
But jab case sahi ho, it's faster, more conservative and kinder to the tooth.
