Management of a mandibular molar with Radix Entomolaris(RE) in a 8 year old paediatric patient.
The radix entomolaris is an additional root in human's mandibular molar teeth. The human mandibular teeth have two roots usually. In rare cases, however, a root may develop between the distal and the mesial roots which is called Radix Entomolaris, if it is located lingual to the tooth.
Radix entomolaris has an occurrence of less than 5% in the Indian population and such cases are not routinely observed during dental procedures.
