If your child’s baby teeth have small gaps between them, that is usually a healthy developmental sign...

Primary teeth are naturally smaller than permanent teeth. The spaces you see are not
“gaps to fix” — they are biological room reserved for the larger adult teeth that will erupt later. This is part of normal jaw growth and helps reduce the risk of crowding during the mixed dentition stage.
When baby teeth sit tightly together with no spacing, the jaw may not have enough room for the wider permanent incisors. Studies show that closed contacts in primary teeth are associated with a higher probability of future crowding. It does not guarantee braces — but it is an early risk indicator dentists monitor.
Early dental visits allow us to track jaw development, eruption patterns, oral habits, and airway health. Monitoring growth at the right time is far more effective than waiting until crowding becomes obvious.

(Pyorrhea)

Poor oral hygiene allows bacteria to accumulate along the gum line. These bacteria form a sticky layer called plaque, which remains on the teeth unless brushed away. As plaque builds up, the bacteria release toxins that irritate the gum tissue. The immune system detects this irritation and sends immune cells to the area. These cells release inflammatory signals that increase blood flow and cause the gums to swell and redden.

The swelling makes the gums more sensitive and prone to bleeding during brushing. If plaque remains in place, it hardens into tartar, which irritates the gums even more. The continued presence of bacteria keeps the immune system active, which leads to ongoing inflammation. Over time the inflamed tissue pulls away from the teeth, creating small pockets where more bacteria can grow.

These pockets deepen the problem by trapping additional debris and preventing easy cleaning. Persistent inflammation can damage the supporting structures around the teeth. Maintaining proper brushing and cleaning helps remove plaque, calm the immune response, and allow the gums to heal.

Ignoring missing tooth ? Think Again !

Ever wondered how losing just one tooth can impact your entire smile?

It's like a domino effect!

There are many consequences of loosing a tooth like movement of opposing n adjoining teeth, gum problems due to food lodgement leading to decaying of adjacent teeth, loss of jaw bone etc..Furthermore you loose chewing surface of that tooth,so the other teeth get more stress while chewing.

When you lose a tooth, it's crucial to visit a dentist soon to replace it with an implant or a bridge so tht ur dental health doesn’t get hampered..

Have u ever heard of hair like structures on tongue surface..The condition is called as ..

It’s actually a temporary n harmless oral condition characterized by elongated tongue papillae(which look like hairs) on the surface of the tongue. This is the result of buildup of dead skin cells on the elongated tongue papillae which gradually traps other substances like food debris, bacteria, fungus n other microorganisms. The discoloration is frequently black, but can be brown, yellow or green.

The condition can be caused by a rare side effect of antibiotics, poor oral hygiene, dry mouth, smoking, or eating a diet of soft food that doesn't rub off the dead skin on your tongue.
