Dunwoody UMC Global Missions Dunwoody UMC mission teams have made many trips to different parts of the world in hopes of spreading Please consider joining our 2015 Mission Guatemala team.

Dunwoody UMC mission teams have made four trips to central Guatemala since 2011. Past teams have been construction focused and provided Vacation Bible School leaders. In 2012, the team added dentists to provide dental care and teach residents proper dental hygiene. Dunwoody UMC continues to strengthen it's relationship with Salud y Paz, our host organization in Guatemala that provides access to he

alth services for underserved areas of the country and provides education for kindergarten through second grade. This mission is a wonderful opportunity to serve the local people while working and worshipping together. To better help explain the mission, a brief video of the 2014 Mission Guatemala trip is below. Travel dates are August 22-29, 2015. The team will host a Vacation Bible School program for children and do construction work. We would like to return with several dentists as part of the 2015 team. Planning for this trip has begun. International Missions Information Session
Dunwoody UMC has two International Mission trips for 2023!

The first trip will be to Guatemala to serve Project Salud y Paz. The trip dates are August 19 through August 26. There is an interest meeting for the Guatemala trip on April 19 at 7 pm in the Young Adult Suite.

The second trip will travel to Kenya to serve at Mully Children’s Family (MCF). The trip dates are September 24 through October 2. There is an interest meeting for the Kenya trip on April 26 at 7 pm in the Young Adult Suite.

NOTES for Mission-Friends ... The UMVIM Winter Mission Academy, hosted by the South Central and Western Jurisdictions, is open to all to attend. The virtual event will take place across 12 days, from February 1-12, 2021. Update: Obviously our August trip to Guatemala was cancelled in response to Covid-19; but Dunwoody UMC was still able to send some financial support to Salud Y Paz ...

We look forward to the church re-opening soon, and being able to schedule some new missions opportunities. Thanks everybody!
