At The Smile Designers, the process begins with understanding you. What would you love to change? What do you already like about your smile? And what would help you feel more comfortable smiling, speaking and laughing?
Those conversations help shape a plan that feels personal to you.
Hereโs what goes into the process ๐
01 / Understanding your smile
We look at your teeth, gums and bite, alongside the way your smile sits within your face. Your tooth proportions, smile line and the movement of your lips all help inform the design. Healthy foundations are an essential part of planning any cosmetic treatment.
02 / Capturing the detail
Clinical photographs and digital scans help us study your smile closely. Where needed, X-rays give us further information about the underlying teeth and supporting structures. Together, these records help us understand what is possible and what needs attention first.
03 / Designing with you
Shape, length, position and shade can all influence the character of a smile. Some people prefer a brighter, more defined look; others want subtle refinements that preserve the features they already love. Your preferences are central to that conversation.
04 / Choosing the right approach
Depending on your starting point, your plan might involve aligning your teeth, whitening, composite bonding, ceramic restorations or a combination of treatments. We explain the suitable options, their limitations and the maintenance involved, with a focus on preserving healthy tooth structure wherever possible.
05 / Reviewing the proposed changes
Where appropriate, digital designs or a physical mock-up can help you visualise the proposed changes and discuss the details before moving forward. These are planning tools, and an opportunity to ask questions and share what matters to you.
06 / Bringing the plan to life
Treatment is carefully sequenced, with attention to how your teeth look, how your bite works and the finishing details that bring the smile together.
