Yes, I was wearing SPF when I took this photo 🙈 In waterproof trousers. In the rain. In Scotland.

Sunny days matter most but wearing it every day (rain included) is what makes it a habit rather than an afterthought. Get yourself into a routine of applying every day because SPF isn’t just anti-ageing, it’s cancer prevention.

I say this as someone who (in my day job as a dentist) regularly refers patients for suspicious lesions on their skin. The areas we see it most? The ears, nose and under the eyes. These are the places people forget about or never think to cover at all.

UV damage is cumulative and it doesn’t matter what season it is. It happens in the car, through windows, even on a cloudy day in Yorkshire (or a rainy hillside in Scotland).

Apply it to your face, your neck, your chest, the backs of your ears, your eyelids… EVERYWHERE exposed. Reapply in the warmer weather.

SPF is the single most effective anti-ageing product we have. It also saves lives.

Please just wear your SPF, whatever the season 🌞

I see a lot of new mothers.

You might not be able to have certain treatments yet but you deserve to carve out an hour for yourself. You come in and usually tell me that something has shifted and you want to feel like yourself again.

That consultation matters just as much as any other!

Whilst pregnant or breastfeeding, what we can do is build a proper skincare routine that’s safe, works for your specific concerns and starts laying the groundwork for everything else. The foundation that makes everything work better later.

We can talk about the future at your initial consultation or can book in a separate chat further down the line.. whichever feels right for you. Whether that ends up being skincare, injectables or something else entirely, we’ll go through everything properly so when the time comes you already feel informed and confident.

As always with me, there’s never any pressure to go ahead with anything at all.

You don’t have to be having treatment to deserve a consultation. Coming in, talking it through and having a plan is enough 🤍

Have you ever looked at a stranger and thought “they’ve had filler”?

GOOD filler should be completely undetectable.

People should notice you look well, refreshed… like yourself.

They shouldn’t be able to put their finger on why.

When it looks obvious it’s usually one of the reasons in the next slide. It’s not always too much product (though that’s part of it). Often it’s the wrong product, the wrong placement or treating one area without considering the face as a whole.

^^ This is why the consultation matters so much. It’s not just about what you want treated. It’s about understanding the whole picture first 🤍

Too bloody right!

Most people who come to see me arrive with a ‘feeling’ more than a plan. They don’t know exactly what they want.

They know that something has shifted, they’re just not sure what. That’s completely normal and it’s exactly what the consultation is for. We start with what’s bothering you, what you’ve been noticing and what you’re hoping might change. Sometimes that means treatment. Sometimes it means telling you that actually you don’t need anything at all yet… and I’ll send you away with a proper skincare plan instead.

Every face is different and every concern is valid, even the ones that feel too small to mention.

The result I’m always working towards is you looking like you, just feeling a bit more like yourself again 🤍

Please message if you have any questions. No question is too small ☺️

Fake injectables are real.

I source every single product I use from a registered UK pharmacy. I can tell you exactly what I’m injecting, where it came from, its batch number, its expiry date. That’s the absolute minimum standard you should expect from anyone treating your face.

If you’re ever unsure, just ask. A good practitioner will never mind being questioned. If they do? Walk away.

Most people who come to see me have been thinking about it for months. Sometimes years 💭

They’ve tried the skincare. They’ve been talked into things they didn’t need, or talked out of things they did. They’ve stood in front of the mirror, lifting their cheeks with their fingers, wondering why they look so tired when they feel fine.

And nearly all of them say the same thing when they book in. “I don’t want anyone to know I’ve had anything done.”

That’s exactly how I work. Small, strategic treatments that build slowly. Skin that’s properly looked after underneath. A plan that fits your face and your budget rather than a treatment list you didn’t ask for ✨

So, whatever’s brought you here, you don’t need to have it all figured out first. Just come and have a chat. Link in my bio whenever you’re ready 🤍

This is the thing people apologise to me for more than anything else. They sit down, tell me what's been bothering them, then stop themselves and go "sorry, this all sounds so vain" 🙈

It really doesn't. Not even slightly.

Nobody who comes to see me wants a different face. They're catching themselves in photos and thinking they look tired when they're really not. They're reaching for more concealer than they used to. And they're thinking about it far more than they'd ever admit out loud.

So when that stops taking up space in your head? That's worth something.

We'll all happily spend on things that last a weekend. A haircut every six weeks, a holiday, a really good coat. But your skin, and a face that still looks like YOU, somehow ends up right at the bottom of the list.

It's also exactly why I'd rather do less and do it properly. Small, strategic treatments that build slowly will always give you more than something that needs undoing further down the line. Your face isn't a one off purchase. It's a long game, and I'll happily go on that journey with you ✨

If you've been putting it off, come and have a proper chat with me in clinic. No pressure, no sell, just an honest conversation about what would actually make a difference for you 🤍

I’m not the injector who’ll agree with everything you ask for. If you come in wanting something that won’t suit your face, or something you don’t need yet, I’ll tell you. Plenty of people would rather hear yes, and that’s completely fine - they’ll find someone who says it.

What I actually care about is you still looking like YOU in ten years. That usually means doing less than you think, starting earlier than you think, and being far more consistent with the boring bits. Sleep, SPF, actually taking your make-up off, one or two good products instead of nine mediocre ones.

I’m also never going to tell you your face needs correcting. Ageing isn’t a flaw and expressive faces are usually the loveliest ones in the room. Ageing well and chasing youth are two very different things, and I’m only interested in the first one ✨

If that sounds like your kind of approach, stick around - you’re in the right place 🤍

The forehead is where nearly everyone starts. It's the first thing people notice, the first thing they ask about, and often the only thing they ever treat.

But it's rarely the reason someone looks older 💭

If the top third of your face stays smooth while everything below it carries on changing, the two halves stop matching up. And over time that can actually age you rather than freshen you, because the eye picks up on the mismatch even if it can't name it.

The midface is usually where the real change has happened. As the cheeks lose volume and start to descend, everything underneath follows. The folds deepen, the lower face feels heavier, the jawline softens. No amount of smoothing above the brows will touch any of that.

And skin quality sits right alongside it. Skin that's dehydrated and losing collagen will still look flat no matter what else you've had done, so it's never an afterthought for me. It's where a lot of the magic actually happens ✨

So the question I always come back to isn't which lines do we treat. It's where has your face genuinely changed, and what would make a real difference to how you feel when you look in the mirror.

If any of that sounds familiar, come and have a proper chat with me in clinic. Link in my bio whenever you're ready 🤍

The big results stay with me, of course, they do. But it's so much more than that as well.

It's also the patient who finally books the consultation she's been thinking about for months. The person who asks every single question they've been sitting on. Someone looking in the mirror after and still seeing themselves, just a bit fresher and more rested.

Aesthetics should never be about chasing trends or changing faces. It's about being honest with you, teaching you about your own skin and building a plan that actually suits you. Sometimes that means treatment. Sometimes it's skincare. Sometimes it's nothing at all.
