My Pocklington clinic is moving to The Refinery 😍

Phil Lee is creating a gorgeous new wellness space in Pocklington and I’m so excited to be part of it when it opens later this month!

Phil is one of the loveliest people I know and I have so loved watching her LIGHT UP as she’s brought her vision to life. The whole place is STUNNING and it’s not even finished yet!

Bookings are now open, starting Tuesday 27th October. Head over to the_refineryskin to find out what else will be on offer there.

Everything else stays the same. Same proper consultations and same approach, with no pressure to go ahead with anything at all. If you’ve already got an appointment booked, I’ll be in touch to let you know exactly where to come.

I’m Georgie, a dentist and facial aesthetics practitioner in York and East Yorkshire. I’ve been doing aesthetics since 2020 and I still LOVE every single day in clinic.

Subtle, natural and undetectable is what I’m known for (and that’s how it’ll be forever and ever).

Most of my patients keep their treatments to themselves, so you won’t see many before and afters on my page!

From Inverness to Edinburgh!!

On Friday someone drove up to York from Buckinghamshire. Next week I have someone coming from Inverness to my Edinburgh clinic for a THIRD time.

Initially my lovely lady found me on Instagram and decided she wanted to come to York for treatment with me. From Inverness. In Scotland!

When my clinic in Edinburgh started, she drove down and it took her four hours each way. In a single day. Just for her appointment! I assumed she was making a weekend of it but nope. She had a little look around the shops afterwards then straight back in the car and home to Inverness!

Four months later, she came back to see me again. Her train was cancelled so she got a PAINFULLY slow bus instead. This time the return buses didn’t even allow for a mooch around the city, straight back to Inverness! More than an eight-hour round trip.

Next week, she’s coming to my Edinburgh clinic again!

Yes, I was wearing SPF when I took this photo 🙈 In waterproof trousers. In the rain. In Scotland.

Sunny days matter most but wearing it every day (rain included) is what makes it a habit rather than an afterthought. Get yourself into a routine of applying every day because SPF isn’t just anti-ageing, it’s cancer prevention.

I say this as someone who (in my day job as a dentist) regularly refers patients for suspicious lesions on their skin. The areas we see it most? The ears, nose and under the eyes. These are the places people forget about or never think to cover at all.

UV damage is cumulative and it doesn’t matter what season it is. It happens in the car, through windows, even on a cloudy day in Yorkshire (or a rainy hillside in Scotland).

Apply it to your face, your neck, your chest, the backs of your ears, your eyelids… EVERYWHERE exposed. Reapply in the warmer weather.

SPF is the single most effective anti-ageing product we have. It also saves lives.

Please just wear your SPF, whatever the season 🌞

I see a lot of new mothers.

You might not be able to have certain treatments yet but you deserve to carve out an hour for yourself. You come in and usually tell me that something has shifted and you want to feel like yourself again.

That consultation matters just as much as any other!

Whilst pregnant or breastfeeding, what we can do is build a proper skincare routine that’s safe, works for your specific concerns and starts laying the groundwork for everything else. The foundation that makes everything work better later.

We can talk about the future at your initial consultation or can book in a separate chat further down the line.. whichever feels right for you. Whether that ends up being skincare, injectables or something else entirely, we’ll go through everything properly so when the time comes you already feel informed and confident.

As always with me, there’s never any pressure to go ahead with anything at all.

You don’t have to be having treatment to deserve a consultation. Coming in, talking it through and having a plan is enough 🤍

Have you ever looked at a stranger and thought “they’ve had filler”?

GOOD filler should be completely undetectable.

People should notice you look well, refreshed… like yourself.

They shouldn’t be able to put their finger on why.

When it looks obvious it’s usually one of the reasons in the next slide. It’s not always too much product (though that’s part of it). Often it’s the wrong product, the wrong placement or treating one area without considering the face as a whole.

^^ This is why the consultation matters so much. It’s not just about what you want treated. It’s about understanding the whole picture first 🤍

Most people who come to see me arrive with a ‘feeling’ more than a plan. They don’t know exactly what they want.

They know that something has shifted, they’re just not sure what. That’s completely normal and it’s exactly what the consultation is for. We start with what’s bothering you, what you’ve been noticing and what you’re hoping might change. Sometimes that means treatment. Sometimes it means telling you that actually you don’t need anything at all yet… and I’ll send you away with a proper skincare plan instead.

Every face is different and every concern is valid, even the ones that feel too small to mention.

The result I’m always working towards is you looking like you, just feeling a bit more like yourself again 🤍

I source every single product I use from a registered UK pharmacy. I can tell you exactly what I’m injecting, where it came from, its batch number, its expiry date. That’s the absolute minimum standard you should expect from anyone treating your face.

If you’re ever unsure, just ask. A good practitioner will never mind being questioned. If they do? Walk away.

Most people who come to see me have been thinking about it for months. Sometimes years 💭
