Uma Jeyanathan BDS (Ncle 2006) MFDS.RCS.Ed(2010)

Uma Jeyanathan is a Dental Surgeon and Aesthetic Practitioner with a passion for skin care and facial aesthetics. She studies the whole person to create the perfect bespoke package of care and provide clients with reinvigorated, glowing yet natural skin.

‘My aim is to restore people’s confidence and self-esteem. It’s definitely not about changing faces, I’m not about the unnatural look. It’s about enhancing the appearance so you go from feeling so tired, drained and down to feeling like your skin’s glowing and you’re on top of the world.’

Uma has a special interest in skin health and treatments to improve collagen content. She uses her detailed understanding of facial anatomy and skin tonicity and form to plan customised treatment programmes that enhance each person’s beauty- at every age.

‘I see lots of women around the menopause, when the falling hormone levels can make collagen and elastin in the skin depleted. However, I also help younger women in their twenties and thirties prevent skin damage and improve the health of their skin. It’s about banking collagen early, boosting skin health and improving hyaluronic acid content, which is what is gives you the glow and youthfulness.’

47 vs 54. Seven years between these photographs.

This is my sister, and probably my favourite example of what a consistent, long-term approach to skin ageing can look like.

There hasn’t been one big treatment or dramatic change. The aim has simply been to maintain collagen, skin quality and facial structure as she ages.

Her staples:

• Morpheus8 around twice a year
• Profhilo for skin quality and hydration
• Small, considered filler tweakments when needed
• More recently, regular SkinPen microneedling

The goal is to support the skin as it ages, stimulate collagen consistently and make small interventions rather than waiting for significant change.

Twenty years: Class of 2006

This weekend was our 20-year Newcastle Dental School reunion, and what an incredible reminder of how special those 5 years were.

From a fascinating tour of the dental school to revisiting our beloved on-site pub, The Crown and Bridge, every moment brought back memories of friendships, challenges, laughter, and experiences that helped shape who we are today.

A real highlight was visiting old student houses with former flatmates and sharing stories from a time that feels both a lifetime ago and just yesterday. The nights out were filled with laughter, reminiscing, and the wonderful feeling of reconnecting with friends who played such an important part in our lives.

Twenty years may have passed, but the friendships, memories, and sense of connection remain as strong as ever. It was a privilege to spend the weekend with such an amazing group of people and to celebrate everything we’ve shared since those student days.

It was a real honour to help organise this reunion weekend and bring everyone back together. A huge thank you to , , .uk and Grosvenor Wealth for their generous support. I’ve had the pleasure of working with these companies for many years, and their sponsorship helped make the weekend such a success.

Morpheus 8 is a journey.

These pictures are taken a couple of months after the second Morpheus 8 treatment was complete.

We can see skin textural improvements and an amazing glow.

I love seeing the changes to the jawline and structure of the face. These will improve further over the coming months.

We are planning another Morpheus 8 treatment to target the jawline further. Morpheus 8 will be tightening the skin and building collagen.

Recovery and results were enhanced by using GF5 Next Generation Growth Factor as an additional treatment. This is an essential partner to Morpheus 8.
