Careful management of anterior guidance as well as a nocturnal splint will be important in avoiding fracture. I always tell these patients that I can’t stop them grinding their teeth but I can try and design the bite to survive the forces… if I’m lucky

On my way back to London after a fantastic American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry - AAED conference in New York.

It was the highest standard of dentistry on display from around the world. Fantastic to catch up with so many clinicians that I look up to & to take home so much knowledge.

I’ve learnt that there is so much value in travelling the world to learn from different dentists. It often challenges my own biases but also reaffirms that we are all doing the best for our patients

Edge bonding with direct composite resin to repair tooth wear. A conservative approach so long as the occlusal design is taken into consideration.

I aim for flat, broad contacts in protrusive edge to edge as I find that is primarily how these edge additions chip
