✨️ A big shout out to Martin! A lovely patient of mine. We share a passion of creativity. He brought these beautiful handcrafted wooden pieces.. from plant pots, jewellery boxes , candle holders.. etc I was amazed at his talent and appreciated the hardwork, patience and perfection it takes. I asked his permission if I may share this photo of his work. He doesn't have social media and so I wanted give him and his craft a shout out!

I've requested that for Christmas he should leave some of his handcrafted items at the practice . These make a lovely Christmas gift! Do pop in a support small businesses like Martin's.

Dentistry starts with that human to human connection. One of the best things I love about my job is meeting new people! ❤️🙏✨️

We are missing our annual visits to India, our place of zen in a beautiful ashram called Prashanti Niliyam 'Abode of the Highest Peace' where we get to take time to reflect, meditate, serve those in need.. its a great place we get to feed our souls, energise our minds! We also get to energise our bodies with simple but delicious and nutrious food! This is a South Indian dish call Upma! It's made from semolina and a variety of spices & vegetables! This is my quick cheat box when we are craving our Zen breakfast!!

My lovely patient, chipped his front tooth! And wanted a natural result..
We can see opacities, on the other teeth and so it was important that whatever I did looked natural and incorporated these features! Pain free & a quick result! 🦷🙂
Embracing Imperfections = Perfection! And isn't this just so applicable to life in general also ?!
Lessons to learn :
1. Simple things make a big difference!
2. Be kind to yourself, embrace the beauty of these so called 'imperfections'.. its all about perspective.. sounds perfect to me!❤

🏆Great to be nominated and shortlisted as finalist under this category!Very humbled. My inner reflections of what something like this means for me..
👩‍⚕️I reflect on my journey becoming a dentist. Having the opportunity to study and have an education itself was something I was always very grateful for. It wasn't an easy road. It's through the hardships and obstacles you appreciate your achievements even more and remain humbled by the experience. ❤
🦷The opportunity to serve those in need, the opportunity to connect with different people everyday, to understand and empathise with anothers plight, to help transform smiles, to help be a part of the journey of restoring a person's confidence, breakdown barriers of anxieties...this is a blessing which I am grateful for everyday.

✔ Trauma/chips/fractures
✔ Helps you improve your smile by straightening/whitening
