A CT scanner can be used prior to having dental implants to check on the quality of your jaw bone and evaluate your nerve canals. It can also be used to look for tumours, diagnose temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder, help plan wisdom tooth extractions, and find the source of chronic pain.
Unlike traditional x-rays, CT scanners allow us to distinguish between different types of tissue and provide us with a much clearer picture of your mouth.
