🤔What to do if I have an underbite? 🤔

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒏 𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒃𝒊𝒕𝒆?

In dental language we call this a class three dental malocclusion. But in simple terms it means the top teeth sit slightly behind the bottom when biting together.

He had braces before and if you look closely 👀 he is also missing tooth.

We corrected the underbite first with Invisalign. This means that anything carried out restoratively ie bonding or veneers isn’t at risk of breaking since the bite is fixed first. 🙌🏽

We then provided ten minimal prep veneers to create a wider, bigger smile whilst keeping as much of his natural tooth structure in place.

The bottom teeth were whitened and edge bonded with colour matched composite.

Patient wanted to further enhance the appearance of her front teeth on display. She was unhappy about the gap and size discrepancy of the front 4 teeth. She wanted to have the “square veneer look” whereby she was referring to reducing the size differences between teeth and also the the embrasures (spaces between the tooth tips)⁣⁣
