WE ARE OPEN!
Following official notification on 28th May that face-to-face dentistry and orthodontics could resume from 8th June we are pleased to announce that Woodlands Orthodontics is open for existing and new patients.

We are operating strict safety protocols issued by Public Health England regarding infection prevention control, which means that we are not be able to treat as many patients each day as we did before COVID-19. Our schedule is designed to enable patients and their parents / carers to maintain social distancing whilst on our premises.

Patients of Woodlands Orthodontics wearing active appliances (braces), are being contacted by one of our team members to arrange appointments.

New patients are also very welcome – please contact us via the website or telephone to arrange an assessment and discuss our range of treatment options.

Practice re-opening 8th June

We are implementing strict safety protocols issued by Public Health England regarding infection prevention control, which means that initially we will not be able to treat as many patients each day as we did before COVID-19. Our new timetable is designed to enable patients and their parents / carers to maintain social distancing whilst in our reception and waiting areas.

Patients of Woodlands Orthodontics wearing active appliances (braces), will be contacted soon by one of our team members to arrange an appointment. We look forward to seeing you! COVID-19
In accordance with latest government advice, we very much regret that during the Coronavirus lockdown period, Woodlands Orthodontics is temporarily closed. We will re-open as soon as the guidelines permit.

If you are in pain, or have damage to the mouth from your orthodontic appliance, call our emergency helpline on 01923 284988.

When we re-open we will contact you to rearrange your appointment(s).

COVID-19

WE ARE CLOSED EXCEPT FOR EMERGENCIES

We can only see you in an emergency, and only by appointment. If you are in pain, or have damage to the mouth from your orthodontic appliance, call our emergency helpline on 01923 284988, which will be manned 10:00 - 12:00 Mondays - Fridays.

If you suspect that you or anyone close to you has the virus or if you, or a member of your family, has a high temperature or new cough, contact NHS 111 / www.nhs.uk

The practice is closed except for emergencies from Tuesday 24th March until further notice - we will re-open as soon as government guidelines permit; when we re-open we will contact you about your appointment(s) for ongoing orthodontic treatment.

If you attend an emergency appointment:
- The patient may only be accompanied by one other person, who should stay outside the surgery during the procedure
- Avoid touching door handles and furniture – we will open doors for you
- Keep a minimum distance of two metres from others
- Use hand sanitizer when you enter the practice

Coronavirus (COVID-19) – update 23/03/2020

At Woodlands Orthodontics our commitment to looking after our patients and staff is paramount. Following current guidelines, during this phase of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we are limiting all non-emergency treatment and will not carry out any procedures using high-speed instruments (which generate airborne particles).

We will open on a reduced timetable to provide emergency care, and to fit retainers for patients who have recently had fixed braces removed. Patients who attend should be accompanied by no more than one other person and should follow instructions to maintain social distancing.

We sincerely hope that this will be for a very limited time only. The situation is being reviewed daily and may change at short notice, subject to further government advice. Changes will be posted on our website: www.woodlandsorthodontics.co.uk

CORONAVIRUS – UPDATE 17/03/2020

At Woodlands Orthodontics we are taking all necessary steps, and following the UK Government’s guidelines, to ensure the safety of our patients and their families during the coronavirus outbreak. The practice remains open, but Dr Millen’s clinics are being cancelled until 31st March. Dr Millen does not have any symptoms of coronavirus, but a member of her family does, so she is self-isolating for 14 days as advised. Her associates are currently working as normal. Patients with any symptoms of coronavirus, or whose family members are showing symptoms, should not attend the practice, but telephone to reschedule their appointment(s). The national situation is changing daily, and we will post any relevant updates here and on our website. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
