✔️ How long do implants last?
With the right care and maintenance, dental implants can last decades. Your overall health and hygiene play a big role in long term success.

✔️ Are there risks?
Implants are considered very low risk. Complications like infection or delayed healing are rare and with proper planning and aftercare, success rates are often 95%+

✔️ How do I look after them?
Treat them like natural teeth. Daily cleaning (including interdental brushes) and regular hygiene visits every 3–6 months are key

✔️ Will it look natural?
In most cases, implants blend seamlessly with your smile, most people won’t be able to tell the difference

✔️ What if I don’t have enough bone?
At your assessment, we’ll check bone volume and quality. If needed, bone grafting can often be done at the same time as implant placement, though it may slightly extend the timeline

Here's Morven McCauley to answer your common questions about dental implants ✨

✔️ What actually is a dental implant?
It’s a titanium root placed into the bone, with a crown (or bridge/denture) secured on top. designed to function like a natural tooth

✔️ Am I suitable for implants?
Most patients are, but factors like smoking, diabetes, bone volume and overall health can affect planning. That’s why a full assessment is key - we tailor everything around you

✔️ How long does treatment take?
In some cases, we can place an implant and a temporary crown on the same day. Healing (called osseointegration) usually takes around 3+ months, depending on your individual case

✔️ Is it painful?
Implants are typically classified as pain free. You may have mild tenderness or swelling afterwards, but most patients return to normal life the next day
