When the dentist says “all done for today” and you suddenly feel like you have completed a full life event. 😭

We know dental appointments can feel like a lot for some patients, even when everything goes smoothly.

That is why our team always aim to keep things calm, clear and as comfortable as possible. 🦷

A little dental humour from us at Shirley Dental Practice.

A missing tooth doesn't have to mean living with a gap in your smile. 🦷

For this patient, the journey began with an old acrylic denture, with the aim of finding a more suitable, natural-looking replacement.

Composite bonding on upper teeth has already been completed to refine the appearance of the teeth, with an all-ceramic adhesive bridge planned as the next stage.

Unlike a conventional dental bridge, this type of bridge can replace missing teeth without the need to drill down the neighbouring teeth, helping preserve more of their natural tooth structure. 💙

💬 Have you ever wondered how a missing tooth could be replaced?

Send us a message or book a consultation with our team at Shirley Dental Practice to find out which options may be suitable for you.

Your gums deserve attention too. 👀

For National Dental Hygiene Month, this is a reminder that hygiene visits are not just about making your teeth feel clean.

They can help remove tartar and surface staining, check your gum health and support fresher breath. 🦷

At Shirley Dental Practice, Air Polishing and direct access hygiene appointments are available so you can book a hygiene visit without seeing a dentist first.

Do you want to give your gums some attention this National Dental Hygiene Month?

Testing the algorithm with a casual dental clip. 😅

Sometimes the simple behind-the-scenes moments show what happens here best.

Patients being looked after, teeth being checked and the team doing what they do every day. 🦷

Educational video or everyday dental clip, either way we are here for it.

Composite bonding can be a great option, but only when the tooth is ready for it. 👀

Before composite bonding is placed, your dentist needs to check more than how the tooth looks.

Tooth decay, cracks, weakened enamel, gum health and your bite are all things we will consider when deciding what treatment is right for you. 🦷

Sometimes bonding is suitable. Sometimes your tooth may need something else first.

Considering composite bonding for your smile? Our team at Shirley Dental Practice will be happy to help.

Kind words from one of our patients. 🦷

We are so pleased to hear that John felt reassured and well looked after during his visit.

A special mention to Dr Payal Patel and Rose Hassan, who helped make the experience feel calm, friendly and caring. ✨

At Shirley Dental Practice, our team always want patients to feel comfortable from the moment they walk in.

A smile is one of the first things people notice, but keeping it healthy comes down to the simple things we do every day. 😊

World Smile Day is a lovely reminder to give your oral health some attention, not just the smile you see in photos.

Brushing twice a day, cleaning between your teeth and keeping up with routine dental visits can help maintain your oral health and identify potential problems early. 🦷

If it has been a while since your last check-up or hygiene appointment, our friendly team at Shirley Dental Practice will be happy to help.

You might be brushing every day, but are your teeth actually feeling clean after? 👀

Fuzzy teeth, bleeding gums, bad breath, visible plaque or new sensitivity can all be signs that your brushing routine may need a little help.

Sometimes it is not about brushing harder. It is about brushing more effectively, especially around the gumline and the areas that are easy to miss. 🦷

A hygiene appointment can help you understand what is going on and how to improve your routine at home.

Not sure if you are brushing properly? Our hygienist team at Shirley Dental Practice will be happy to help.

When the front teeth do not match in shape, shade or width, the smile can look uneven. 👀

This patient came to us with fractured porcelain on an existing front crown and concerns about the shape and proportions of the surrounding teeth.

We first carried out a hygiene appointment, followed by Boutique teeth whitening treatment. 🦷

Dr Shiv Radia then replaced two existing front crowns with zirconia crowns and used composite bonding on two neighbouring teeth to create a more balanced appearance.

The after photo was taken immediately after the crowns and bonding were fitted.

Guys, it’s not all polished smiles and picture-perfect moments at the dental practice... 👀

Sometimes it’s simply a busy team working together behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly.

All jokes aside, it’s these everyday moments, the teamwork and the attention to detail that help us give our patients the care they deserve. 🦷

Just another day at Shirley Dental Practice!
