🎉 A huge congratulations to Larni! 🎉

What a journey it has been! 💚

Larni started her career with us as a nurse, and since then she has continued to learn, grow and challenge herself every step of the way, progressing through radiography, photography, orthodontic nursing, and finally orthodontic therapy.

We’ve been incredibly proud to support her throughout her journey, and enjoyed celebrating her amazing achievement: she has passed her orthodontic therapy exams with fantastic marks and is now officially a qualified Orthodontic Therapist! 🦷✨

Her dedication, hard work and determination have truly paid off. Watching her develop from a nurse into the highly skilled professional she is today has been such a privilege.

Well done, Laeni, you should be incredibly proud of yourself! We certainly are. 💚👏

Here’s to the next chapter of your career! 🥂✨

Did you spot our team at Brighton last week? ✨
We were incredibly proud to see Dr Owaise Sharif, Dr Nicky Stanford and Orthodontic Therapist Kelly Hughes take to the stage at the British Orthodontic Society conference, presenting to hundreds of delegates.
Their talks explored sustainability in dentistry and creating better experiences for patients, two areas that reflect what we’re passionate about as a team: pushing boundaries, challenging the way things have always been done, and continually looking for better ways to care for every patient.

Being invited to share our work and ideas with colleagues across the profession is a huge honour, and we couldn’t be prouder of our team for stepping up, sharing their expertise and helping to move orthodontics forward. 💙
Always learning. Always questioning. Always striving to do better for our patients.

Different Types of Orthodontic Care: What’s the Difference?
Choosing who straightens your smile matters. Orthodontic care isn’t one-size-fits-all, and the level of training behind your treatment can make a real difference to both results and long-term stability.

At Greenacre Orthodontics, care is specialist and consultant-led, ensuring every treatment plan is built on experience, precision, and evidence-based expertise.

Choose experience for your smile.

What Our Patients Say
“A fantastic place. Starting treatment as an adult patient, I was anxious, but all the team are really friendly and put you at ease and go at your pace, talking you through step by step treatments.”
— Amy Hitchin

Thank you, Amy, for trusting us with your smile. Feedback like this means so much to our team.

Did you know?
In the 1980s, most orthodontic patients in the UK wore bulky stainless steel “train-track” braces, often combined with headgear — very different from today’s discreet options.

Why Oral Hygiene Is So Important During Orthodontic Treatment?
Braces and aligners work best when teeth and gums stay healthy. During orthodontic treatment, food and plaque can build up more easily, which is why good oral hygiene is essential.

Brushing thoroughly, using interdental brushes, and following professional advice helps protect enamel, gums, and long-term results.

A healthy smile is just as important as a straight one.

Thinking About Orthodontic Treatment as an Adult?
It’s never too late to invest in your smile. Many of our adult patients first come to us with their children — and then decide it’s time to focus on their own confidence too.

Modern orthodontic options are discreet, effective, and designed to fit around busy adult lives.

If you’ve been thinking about it for a while, this could be the right time to book a consultation.
