This case was TOUGH.
This LOVELY patient with a high smile line wanted an interim bridge improvement of her UL1 prior to future implant treatment.
The Remit:
1. It needed to be solely restorative
2. No soft tissue work.
3. Black triangles.
4. Angulation of lateral.
5. Discoloured lateral.
6. Occlusal interference.
7. High smile line.
8. Emergence challenges 😵‍💫

Adhesive bridgework + soft tissue grafting and this case posed numerous challenges.

Lack of bone volume. Poor contour. Tight mesio-distal spacing and irregular spaces. And this was following ortho elsewhere 🫣.

Combined problem solving using palatal harvests, clever use of line angles and beautiful bridgework in combination with Hit Parmar - Oral Design Centre UK.

TISSUE Conditioning

FURTHER to my last post, there were lots of messages requesting to see the surgical stages. Swipe along to see the workflow but the main challenges here were BIOTYPE, smile line & lack of bone due to previous Le Fort I osteotomy. Instead we ‘preserved’ the alveolus, preserved the gum & provided an immediate restoration. So many nuances to the ridge pres, the material, the CTG, the positioning, the suturing around the immediate restoration & the Pontic design. The pictures should allow for some insight ✌🏽 SAVE & SHARE with one colleague at least who may find it useful 🙏🏾
