Helen Paisley, CEO, had the pleasure of catching up with Sue Gregory OBE at the BASCD Conference last week.

As former Chair of CDS CIC, Sue has always been a tremendous supporter of both dentistry nationally and our services locally in Bedfordshire.

Sue has been a longstanding champion of dentistry and oral health, serving in a number of influential roles throughout her career, including former Deputy Chief Dental Officer for England, Consultant in Dental Public Health, Director of Dental Public Health for England, and President of British Association for the Study of Community Dentistry.
She also chaired the expert panel that produced Delivering Better Oral Health, a key resource for preventive dentistry.

It was wonderful to see her again and hear how interested she remains in the ongoing work and success of CDS.

Liz from the Suffolk Oral Health Improvement Team recently visited Beccles Primary Academy to see how they were getting along with our Supervised Toothbrushing and Healthy Smiles Programmes. We think their Healthy Smiles display is amazing, and we love the water and milk cannisters with the smiley cups for the children to keep healthy and hydrated throughout the day!
