Happy New Year to all our patients! Not the start we were all hoping for, but we would like to confirm that BDC will be remaining OPEN during this lockdown and continue to see our patients for their dental treatment needs.

We would like to assure our patients that we are open over the Christmas/New Year period for all routine and emergency appointments, with the exception of the national bank holidays.

Following the latest announcement of another lockdown, we would like to reassure our patients that we are staying OPEN!
This is for all routine appointments and treatment, so please don't put off your visit as we are COVID safe.
This month is also National Mouth Cancer Action Month-did you know that at every examination we screen for Oral Cancer so it's so important that we keep seeing you.

Following the gentle re-opening of our practice on 8th June, we are pleased to announce that we are ready to see patients who require a wider scope of dental procedures. This includes root canal treatments, crowns and fillings. Consultations and treatments with the implantologist, periodontist (special interest in gums)orthodontic services-Invisalign/Fastbraces are also now available. There are certain services with your dentist or hygienist that have limitations, which we will do our best to inform you of. Please email the practice if you have any queries [email protected]

We are extremely pleased to announce that we will be open on Monday 8th June.
Initially, the first phase will be limited to prioritising those who have experienced a dental emergency and in need of urgent dental care and the vulnerable.
The practice will be running an appointment only visit, therefore we request you only attend the surgery if you have been triaged and the visit confirmed.

Dear patients

We hope that you are well in these challenging times?

We are starting to hear murmurings about being allowed to see patients again in the not too distant future and wanted to let you know that plans are in place for your continued safety at BDC.

As you will be aware all dental surgeries are already required to practice with incredibly high standards of cross infection control and so, although we do not yet know exactly who we will be able to see, when, and for what treatments, please be assured that we will only act in the best interest of our patients and staff.

As guidance becomes available we will be able to start opening up to you all again. All our systems of cross infection control are compliant with guidelines, and the maximisation of social distancing with time and spatial management will be the only real change that our patients will experience. The whole team is being retrained for your continued safety.

Although we have been prevented from seeing patients face-to-face at the current time, our dentists have been working really hard to assist both our own patients and those whose own dentists have unfortunately been unable to help over the past few months.

We have constructed a waiting list so we can prioritise our patients in urgent need and will be contacting them to book their urgent appointments. If you have been reluctant to contact us, please do so in order that we can be sure to triage you effectively.

We know that we are a very safe environment and our staff are experts at cross infection control which makes us confident in adapting our working practices to the current situation.

We are a prevention based practice and wholeheartedly believe that the best way to assured oral health is through regular dental and oral checks and maintainable with your own trusted clinician.
We will continue to offer the very best that we can in the circumstances that we have.

In order for us to keep in contact with you, it is so important that we have your correct contact details to keep you updated, and prevent cross infection by being paperless and contactless.
Most patients already fill in their medical history forms and update their contact details online and this is the best method, so if we do not have your current email address please let us know as soon as possible or email them to [email protected].

Plan patients who have missed their regular treatment windows due to the current circumstances will be seen as soon as possible in order to get back on track.

Hi all
Thought I would touch base with you.

The practice has now been closed for two months and as a manager of twenty years I am finding it all very strange.
This was to be my year to celebrate my 60th :)
I left the practice mid March to go on holiday. The holiday was cancelled. I went into isolation, the practice closed and that was that.

I didn't get to see everyone before lockdown.
I miss our morning catch up chats and laughs and then at 8-15am, the Team head off to their surgeries with their professional heads on, to look after you.
We have such a lovely caring team, they are all so lovely to work with. It feels like I am missing a second family.

We have been here for you for emergency advice and we are now looking forward to opening our doors to you once we have the green light.
We are taking and acting on all advice given to keep you and staff safe.

I think I will stay 59 this year and fingers crossed I will celebrate my 60th next year.
