Our aim is to share our educational programs, study clubs and online webinars with the dental society. Advanced Periodontal Practice Course:
It's a certified 3 months 5 credit hour course.
- It allows dentists to practice periodontal and implant surgeries.
- The course includes lectures, live patient demonstrations of various periodontal and implant surgeries, practical workshops and clinical p
atient training.
- The candidates will have the chance to practice different periodontal surgeries as gingivectomy, functional and esthetic crown lengthening, different types of flaps, recession coverage and implant placement.
- The candidates will be required to perform one periodontal surgery and to place one implant in a patient under the supervision of a trained professional with a total of two surgeries. Course Content:
*Lectures:
From 9 to 2
1. Diagnosis, treatment planning in Periodontology and implantology + Diagnostic radiology
2. Principles of Periodontal Surgeries (Flap Design and Suturing) + Suturing work shop
3. Pocket Reduction Therapy
(Non surgical pocket therapy, Open curettage, GTR and Surgical Management of Furcation Involvement)
4. Management of Gingival Recession+ Failures and Complications in periodontal surgeries
5. Use of Laser in Periodontics and Diode Laser Workshop+ Management of black triangle
6. Management of Short Crowns and Gummy smile (Gingivectomy, Functional and Esthetic Crown Lengthening and lip repositioning)
7. Basic Implantology and Implant Radiology
8. Keys for successful immediate implant placement and dental implant failure and complications the other side of the coin
9. Hard Tissue Augmentation+ PRF+ Implant in defective socket
10. Soft Tissue Management Around Dental Implant + Management of peri-implantitis.
11. Prosthetic Phase Of Dental Implants+ Closing Ceremony+ Certificate Delivery

1. Hands on harvesting palatal Graft, flap design and suturing on sheep heads

Certification:
Participants will receive a certificate accredited by Faculty of Dentistry, Alexandria University. Benefits:

* The course is considered an elective course to those enrolled in Masters or PhD programs at the Faculty of Dentistry, Alexandria University. Which entitles them to 5 credit hours in their masters or PhD programs.
