MSA Endodontic Residency π¦·
π© Case: Non-surgical endodontic retreatment of tooth #46, presenting with a periapical lesion associated with the mesial root.
π© Instrumentation: mix of M-Pro rotary system and E-flex rotary system, prepared to size 40/.04 in all canals.
π© Irrigation Protocol: 5.25% NaOCl combined with EDTA solution and chlorohexidine 2%
π© Irrigant Activation: Ultrasonic activation using Ultra-X, followed by sonic activation using Endo A1 with heat activation.
π© Obturation: Warm vertical compaction technique using Fast-Pack Pro and Fast-Fill Pro, with bioceramic sealer C-Root.
π Side Note:
In endodontic retreatment cases associated with periapical lesions, thorough removal of the previous root canal filling material, adequate chemo-mechanical preparation, and effective irrigant activation are essential for reducing the microbial load and creating optimal conditions for periapical healing.
