A simple habit that makes a big difference.

Replacing your child’s toothbrush every three months helps remove plaque more effectively and keeps bacteria from building up. Change it sooner if the bristles are worn or after an illness to keep smiles healthy.

✔ Kids’ Cavity Prevention Checklist

🦷 Daily Habits
• Brush teeth twice a day with a pea-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste
• Brush for a full 2 minutes each time
• Make sure to brush all surfaces — front, back, and chewing areas
• Don’t forget the gumline
• Floss once a day, especially between tight teeth

🥛 Eating & Drinking
• Limit sugary snacks and drinks (juice, candy, gummies, cookies)
• Choose water over juice or pop throughout the day
• Offer tooth-friendly snacks like cheese, yogurt, veggies, or nuts
• Avoid sticky snacks that cling to teeth
• Rinse with water after meals if brushing isn’t possible

🩺 Routine Checkups
• Visit the dentist every 6 months for cleanings and exams
• Ask about fluoride treatments
• Ask your dentist if sealants are recommended for back teeth
