Thank you Newmarket for recognizing the LIL BIG KIDs Squad and their commitment to our community over the years. The founders are excited for the opportunity to inspire more kids to give back in 2024! They have donated the funds to the to use for their Community Kitchen and support their NEW ‘Kids in the Kitchen’ program. This will be a wonderful opportunity for teams and youth groups to work together to provide nutritious food to families in need and fill the !

On May 24th, 2023 at 6:30 pm, A Million Mouthfuls Catering and Neighbour Media are holding a community event - "Catering for a Cause".

It's going to be an evening of delicious food and good times, with all proceeds going to a great cause! The proceeds from this event will be donated to a local non-profit organization, that YOU can help choose.

The Newmarket Food Pantry is seeing record numbers, so every bit of support helps! The top three charities will be voted on again at the event and the charity with the most votes wins all the funds raised.

Winning this fundraiser will help us meet the ever-increasing demand for food in our community. We were averaging 1600 clients per month in 2022 – that was an increase of 60% from previous years. Last month, we tip the scale at 2000 – with over 33% being children under the age of 18.

13 Elf Boxes filled with beautifully kid-crafted cards delivered to Long Term Care Homes in York Region today!

This year we had many schools and classes participate in our mission to spread holiday cheer to Senior Citizens in our community.

Together our 2022 Elf Squad made a grand total 1568 cards!!! Many thanks to all who participated with us and helped us spread the kindness further ❤️🎄.

It is that time of year again when our ELF SQUAD gets busy making cards for seniors in our community!! This is a easy way for anyone to get involved in giving back this holiday season. All you need is a paper and a crayon (or you can get fancy 😉) and it makes a HUGE impact on the residents in the centres we deliver to! We are welcoming classes to participate again as well ❤️... so tell all of your teacher friends!

Please bring your completed cards to our porch mailbox at 34 Harvest Hills Blvd by Sun Dec 11th. Or, we can pick up from you… just send us a DM!

Thank you .prestige.market for hosting an amazing family friendly event today at the Aurora Armoury, and to our who ran our booth!!

Project ‘Grandma’s Garden’ raised $566.50 for the selling tulips and paint-your-own-pot kits provided by .

I’d say that was another successful giveback project in the books, and put together in quite a hurry (3 days to be exact 🥵🤣), by these amazing kiddos!! What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday… for an amazing cause! 🌼

Today we did a little ‘test run’ for a new project in collaboration with the . We filmed our first episode where kids help kids make healthy foods. We can’t wait for our other LIL BIG KIDs to have a turn to film their own recipes too! Let us know if this is the project you would like to be a part of. It’s a wonderful way to connect with families in our community and empower kids to eat healthy and get creative in the kitchen, with the foods they are provided with, from the pantry.

We were honoured to be nominated by Dr. Atwal , then selected to receive an Ontario Junior Citizen Award for 2022, and THEN presented our awards today by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario! WOW.

It was a WONDERFUL day, but none of it would have ever happened if it hadn’t been for the support of our WONDERFUL friends, family & community.

Thank you to all the kids on the committee and squads, for helping us reach many people in need together! YOU are to reason we keep going, YOU inspire us to do more, and YOU earned this prestigious award WITH us.

Today was a GREAT DAY!!

Thank you to everyone who helped us with yet another MASSIVE donation to the . We were told that The Pantry’s clients have almost doubled since last year 😳 and that our donation was very much needed. Especially all those diapers… ‘they’re like gold’!! We are going to help so many families in our community. Way to go !

If you shared our posts, donated food, joined our delivery team, spread the word, went for that prize, cheered us on… we appreciate YOU! None of this is possible without your support. We have the best friends and family around.

This is the last week for our Food 4 Families Food Drive! If you haven’t donated yet, please consider arranging a donation pick up with us or dropping off non-perishables to our front porch.

With the increase in the price of groceries, people who were struggling before, are REALLY struggling now and the Food Pantry is helping more and more families in need.
