I spent two days earlier this week at the IPAC Canada conference in Toronto for the 50th anniversary.

This was my third year attending, and every year I enjoy it more. It’s been great seeing more dental representation in the conversations, audience, and on the stage as dental IPAC continues to become a bigger part of the broader discussion.

And no, I’m not making a career change into EMS/paramedicine, it was a badge typo! 😂Dental is still very much my world.

Looking forward to next year already, especially with IPAC Canada hosting a half-day preconference in Edmonton dedicated to dental!

Thank you for hosting a Waterpik lunch & learn.

It was great connecting with the newly expanded team and discussing ways to help support patients to improve their oral health routines at home.

After the presentation, a team member told me how valuable she felt the information was and how important these sessions are for the entire dental team, no matter the role.

Patients don’t only ask questions to the clinical team. The admin team regularly field questions about oral health and water flossing too!

It’s essential for all team members to feel confident and equipped to help answer patient questions so I welcome the entire team to participate in my lunch and learns!

So nice meeting everyone and chatting all things oral health! 😊

certainly can! What a fabulous location in Prescott on the St Lawrence River. I’m pretty sure I’d be spending all of my lunch hours outside! 😊

This large team was fully engaged with some great questions. I loved seeing the Waterpik water flossing display units throughout the office. Waterpik products certainly play an important role in supporting patients going through orthodontic treatment and/or periodontal treatment. Dr. Kirschman‘s team is ready to support patients throughout their oral health journey.

Thankful for the opportunity to present “IPAC on the Move: Infection Prevention Considerations for Mobile Dental Hygiene” to independent dental hygienists across Canada through the CDHA Independent Practice Network (IPN).

A big thank you to the for the partnership, and to my team for your continued support in making opportunities like this possible.

It was great to share insights on IPAC in mobile practice settings—such an important and evolving space in our profession! 💜

Interestingly, 53% of my attendees are working in a ‘Pack & Go’ model, delivering care directly to patients, wherever they are, whether that’s a private home, congregate living facility, daycare, school, office, acute care, shelters, or other.
