My goal is to put faces, colors, voices and well-being on numbers in public health. Smiles especially... because it's dental public health.

"Normative ethic does more than describe how people behave in their moral lives. It evaluates what is right and wrong and what should and should not happen, drawing on values, theories, moral intuitions, and more to try to determine what is just and strive to make it a reality.

Public health has moral purposes. Its policies and practices unfold within a normative framework.

Yesterday, I posted a short story about bitterness.
We all have those stories, tamed over time, and even accepted that they hardly could change.

Today, it was a brand new day. We were talking about ways of reaching out to everyone involved in dental healthcare work. Moving toward conversation and measured, timely advocacy for the causes we hold dear to our hearts is a marathon with exponential rewards.

What is important to dental hygienists? What is elevating our profession to the next level? What is the best next step we need to take?

Many answers, more questions, and ideas we've heard at the CDHA Leadership Development Symposium 2025 in Toronto.
The most impressive was the dedication and professionalism of friends and colleagues around the country.

Today, my short burst of disapproval, though authentic and truthful, was modified by understanding how much persistent efforts in improving education, mutual respect and support, is contributing to claiming our voices for the best in our guild.

Primum non nocere.

I've been reminded every day that the path I chose is the right one.

"Potential... production... hygiene"

My mission is to help people. Other human beings. No one will make me work for "huge production potential" and push in whichever direction the latest fashion goes.

I am dedicated to resisting the abuse of my trust and care for patients for quick material gains.

If you choose to study and apply evidence based science of dentistry and continuously "re-imagine" success through "hygiene production rates," then I have some news. You are in the wrong lane - there are much less stressful ways to make the same amount of whatever you dream of collecting.

P.S. Also... my way of working is alleviating stress.
