Dr. David Moffet is an international expert in dental practice management. With over 32 years of dental experience, he has developed a simple, practical, and incredibly effective way of increasing the number of patients you see... the amount of money you charge... and the percentage of large case revenues your patients will happily accept. In some cases, Moffet’s strategy has resulted in over $100

,000 in additional cash flow in just weeks. All you need is a decent team and his secret weapon, “The Ultimate Patient ExperienceTM.” The UPE is a unique, low-cost system of unique patient engagement that is incredibly easy to put in place. In fact, one of Moffet’s strategies costs less than $40 to implement, and you can have it up and running by the end of business, today. The Ultimate Patient Experience has allowed Dr. Moffet to:

• Sell his dental practice for a cool $2.75 million - for which he collected 80% in cash, 20% in stock...

• Consistently increase his prices (10.55% per year, on average) while retaining over 90% of his patients...

• And DOUBLE his cold phone conversion rates, using a strategy that will take you less than 10 minutes to set up...

Inside these pages, you’ll discover exactly how Dr. Moffet accomplished each of these things, and how you can, too.

The Latest Episode of The Ultimate Dental Podcast has hit the stands. Join me as I interview Dr. Louise Mahler, a recognised expert in vocal intelligence and body language, shares her profound insights on how to harness body language for personal and professional success.

Dr. Mahler's journey is as fascinating as her expertise. Originally trained in business and opera, she transitioned into the realm of body language, discovering that the way we carry ourselves can significantly impact how others perceive us. "Voice is a reflection of what we do with our body, which is, of course, a reflection of what we're thinking with our mind," she explains. This mind-body-voice connection is crucial when it comes to effective speaking and presentation.

A key concept Dr. Mahler emphasises is gravitas, an ancient Roman idea of trust and respect. She believes that to bring your best to any engagement, you need to be physically and mentally prepared. "To bring your best voice, you need your best body, and, of course, your best body is your best mind," she states. This holistic approach is essential for anyone looking to enhance their communication skills.

During their conversation, Dr. Mahler and I discuss the common pitfall of overloading presentations with information. According to Dr. Mahler, the more knowledge we have, the harder it is to simplify our message. "The KISS principle—Keep It Simple, Stupid—applies here. Sometimes, less is more," she asserts. This principle is especially relevant in fields like dentistry, where conveying complex information in an understandable way is crucial.

For dentists struggling to present treatment options to patients effectively, Dr. Mahler offers a structured framework known as SPICES. This acronym stands for:

• Set up the situation

• Present information with permission

• Inform with knowledge

• Convey emotional responses

• Engage with empathy

• Strategize for next steps

Using this framework can help healthcare professionals navigate difficult conversations with patients, ultimately leading to better acceptance of necessary treatments.

Dr. Mahler passionately advocates for bringing your body out to communicate, stating, "Ditch the lectern!" She believes that physical presence is vital in making authentic connections. By understanding and utilising body language, anyone can enhance their communication skills, ensuring their message is not just heard but also felt.

As Dr. Mahler aptly puts it, "We must recognise how important everything we do with our head, eyes, mouth, hands, and posture is." Whether you're a dentist, a speaker, or simply someone looking to improve your communication, embracing body language can lead to transformative results.

If you want to seriously grow yourself a sustainable dental practice that is successful and satisfying in 2026 and beyond, you won’t want to miss this episode!

The Latest Episode of The Ultimate Dental Podcast has hit the stands. Join me as I interview Kevin Henry, a dedicated advocate for dental assistants, to explore the critical role that dental assistants play in the dental profession. We reflect on their shared experiences within the dental community, emphasising the importance of respect and appreciation for dental staff.

Kevin highlights the often-overlooked contributions of dental assistants, who are frequently the lowest-paid members of the dental team. He notes:

"If you can give them those three things — respect, consistency, and a feeling of being valued — it makes a world of difference."

This sentiment resonates throughout our discussion, as we share personal anecdotes about how investing in staff not only improves morale but also enhances patient care.

The conversation shifts to the importance of creating a supportive environment where dental assistants can thrive. Kevin encourages dental professionals to recognise that investing in their team's growth — both financially and professionally — pays dividends in the long run. I support this view, emphasising that a well-supported dental assistant can significantly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of a practice.

Kevin and I both agree that when dental assistants feel empowered and respected, they can provide better support to both the dentist and the patients.

This episode serves as a reminder for dental professionals to reflect on how they value their team members. By fostering a culture of respect and recognition, practices can improve staff retention and patient care.
