Nasoalveolar Molding Appliance in Infantile Cleft Lip and Palate Management
A NAM appliance (Nasoalveolar Molding appliance) is a custom-made device used in newborns with cleft lip and/or palate to gently mold the gums, lip, and nose into a better position before surgery, improving alignment and surgical results

​ন্যাসোঅ্যালভিওলার মোল্ডিং অ্যাপ্লায়েন্স (Nasoalveolar Molding appliance), সংক্ষেপে NAM অ্যাপ্লায়েন্স, হলো একটি বিশেষ কাস্টম-মেড ডিভাইস। এটি ঠোঁট বা তালু কাটা নিয়ে জন্ম নেওয়া শিশুদের জন্য ব্যবহার করা হয়।
✔️​এর কাজ কী?
​অস্ত্রোপচারের আগে এই যন্ত্রটি খুব নম্রভাবে বা আলতো করে শিশুর মাড়ি, ঠোঁট ও নাককে একটি ভালো অবস্থানে নিয়ে আসতে সাহায্য করে। এর ফলে অস্ত্রোপচারের মাধ্যমে ঠোঁট ও তালুর সঠিকভাবে জোড়া লাগার বা সার্জারির ফল ভালো হওয়ার সম্ভাবনা অনেক বেড়ে যায়।

​সংক্ষেপে: NAM অ্যাপ্লায়েন্স হলো এমন একটি যন্ত্র যা অস্ত্রোপচারের আগে শিশুদের কাটা ঠোঁট, তালু ও নাককে ধীরে ধীরে ঠিক অবস্থানে আনার জন্য ব্যবহার করা হয়, যাতে চিকিৎসার ফল আরও ভালো হয়।
