Thrilled to be in Vienna for EuroPerio11, alongside over 10,000 delegates from around the world. An inspiring few days packed with clinical science, practical pearls — and great to catch up with old friends and mentors.

Prof. Maurizio Tonetti’s lecture on AI in periodontology was especially fascinating — exciting to see how fast our field is evolving.

A 78-year-old male patient was referred for managing peri-implant disease at tooth 36. After non-surgical management, surgery involved Ti brush and EDTA cleaning, followed by DBBM (Cerabone) and Jason Membrane for regeneration.

At 6 months, no PPD exceeded 3mm and no BoP was observed.

A patient was referred to us with peri-implantitis around #21, presenting with a probing pocket depth (PPD) of up to 9mm at the mid-buccal, bleeding, and suppuration upon probing. We performed surgical debridement, followed by grafting with DBBM (Cerabone) and a collagen membrane (Bio-Gide).
