We’re excited to introduce Dr Pawan Adhikari to our patients at Ropes Crossing Dental & Implant Centre!

Here’s a little about Dr Pawan:

🦷 Graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in India before continuing his dental career in Australia.

🦷 Enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with a particular interest in surgical, cosmetic, restorative and preventative care.

🦷 Has a warm and friendly approach, taking extra care to help nervous patients feel comfortable and at ease.

🦷 Believes in taking the time to listen, explain treatment options and ensure patients feel involved in their dental care.

🏏 Outside of dentistry, Dr Pawan enjoys playing cricket and reading.

🦷 Stage One of Dental Implant Treatment

These images show the first stage of this patient’s dental implant treatment, performed by Dr Ravin — the surgical placement of a dental implant.

The implant will now be given time to heal and integrate with the surrounding bone.

In approximately 4 months, we’ll see the patient again to assess the healing and, if appropriate, take digital scans. These scans will then be sent to the dental laboratory, where the patient’s custom implant crown will be made for the next stage of treatment.

Dental implant treatment is completed in stages, with treatment and healing times varying between patients.

Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.

🦷 Orthodontics isn’t always just about straightening the front teeth.

This case shows the management of an impacted lower molar that was positioned at an angle and unable to erupt normally.

Through carefully planned orthodontic treatment, space was created and gentle forces were used to progressively guide the tooth into a more favourable position.

The slides show the progression from the initial X-ray, through treatment at 10 weeks and 19 weeks, to approximately 14 months, where the tooth had erupted into a functional position.

Every orthodontic case is different. Treatment options, treatment time and outcomes depend on the individual patient’s teeth, jaw development and clinical circumstances. A consultation and appropriate assessment are required to determine suitable treatment.
