I've been a bit quiet on the insta front of late because I've been preheating my very own little bundle of sweetness. After all the cakes I've made for friend's little ones I've finally been able to make one for our soon to be mini human. I'll be taking a bit of a step back from cakes until things settle down but I'm sure I won't be away for too long. Until then let the craziness begin!!

One way to give cakes the wow factor is to add in a fake layer. The bottom tier of this cake is only half cake making it tall but still pretty light. This way you can have a huge cake without all the leftovers. Although, leftover cake never usually stays leftover for long!
