✨ Before & After: Pyogenic Granuloma ✨
This patient presented with a rapidly growing lesion that we strongly suspected was a pyogenic granuloma. It was red, soft and easily bled upon touching. While the clinical appearance gave us a good clue, the only way to confirm the diagnosis was through an excisional biopsy.
One of the very common side effects to these lesions is that they tend to recur if not removed fully. Luckily for this patient, we achieved a very good outcome. The lesion was completely removed, sent for pathology, and the area has now fully healed — with a great outcome both medically and cosmetically. Although there is minor gum recession between the upper left central and lateral incisors, which is unavoidable, they were happy with the final outcome of treatment.
