🎙️ This time, it’s Gabby’s turn! 🤍

At Watkins Dental & Orthodontics, we like to keep things personal — even our radio ads.

Rather than using professional voices, our team members take turns stepping up to the microphone, so the voices you hear on the radio are the same familiar voices you’ll hear when you visit our surgery. 🦷

This time, it’s our lovely dental assistant Gabby.

Gabby is such a valued part of our team. Her warmth, kindness and willingness to help make a difference every day — not only to our patients, but to all of us who have the pleasure of working alongside her.

We’re very proud to have Gabby representing Watkins Dental on the airwaves this time. 🎙️☺️

Keep an ear out for her!

Modern dentistry, with good old-fashioned local care.

Inverell Scout Group Trivia Night ✅

Our team name: The Bite Club 🦷

We fought hard, debated harder, and put our collective brain cells to work 🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠

The result?
🏆 2 Ariat duffle bags
🕯️ 2 candles
…and a healthy amount of bragging rights.

A great night with great company and plenty of laughs.

One thing is now clear:
Stuart is not allowed to book a holiday during trivia night next year. We need all available brainpower on deck. 😆

🚨 STATE OF ORIGIN DAY AT WATKINS DENTAL 🚨

🟥 TEAM QLD
Dr KC Jung & Dr TK Kim
(Griffith University, Gold Coast)

Still proudly supporting Queensland…
despite not fully understanding the rules of rugby league 😅
They mainly enjoy the rivalry and stirring up the NSW side.

🟦 TEAM NSW
Dr Stuart Watkins & Sophie Yang
(University of Sydney)

Dr Watkins is away.
So Sophie may be carrying the entire State of Origin spirit at the clinic today 👀💙

Who are you backing tonight?
❤️ QLD or 💙 NSW

This week we had the pleasure of having Jorwil from Macintyre High School join us at Watkins Dental for work experience — and we were so impressed by her enthusiasm, curiosity, and willingness to learn throughout the week 🦷✨

Jorwil shared that she chose Watkins Dental because she wanted to explore the dental and healthcare field and gain a better understanding of what a future career in this industry could look like. Over the week, she learned about sterilisation processes, infection control, the organisation that happens behind the scenes, and the many instruments and technologies used in modern dentistry and orthodontics.

Some of her favourite experiences included:
• Working in the lab and seeing how retainers and models are made
• Making her own model
• Observing procedures, including an extraction
• Learning about the cleaning and sterilisation process after every appointment
• Seeing how professional and supportive the team is within the clinic

Jorwil said her time at Watkins Dental increased her interest in dentistry and orthodontics and helped her discover so much more about the field. 🩵

Thank you, Jorwil, for being such a kind, helpful, and engaged student during your placement. We loved having you with us and wish you all the best for your future studies and career journey. We have no doubt you’ll do amazing things 🌟
