Meet Dr Andie Malawkin! 🦷✨

Born in Brisbane and raised in Northern NSW, Dr Andie returned to Brisbane to study at The University of Queensland. She completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences before graduating in Dentistry with Class I Honours.

Dr Andie is passionate about all aspects of general dentistry and is committed to making every visit feel positive, comfortable and relaxed. She takes the time to explain treatment clearly, helping patients feel informed, confident and empowered when making decisions about their oral health.

When she’s not caring for patients, you’ll find Dr Andie creating pottery in her home studio, watching sport especially her beloved Arsenal or spending time with her German Shorthaired Pointer.

Dr Andie is now welcoming appointments at Aurora Smiles / Chermside on Mondays and Thursdays.

Meet Dr Santosh Kumar 🪥

With more than 22 years of dental experience across India, Kuwait and Australia, Dr Santosh brings a wealth of knowledge to Aurora Smiles Dental.His clinical interests include dental implants, gum disease treatment, minor oral surgery and laser dentistry.

His qualifications include BDS, MDS (Periodontics), M.Perio RCSEd, M.Imp.Dent RCSEd, FDS RCSEd, and Fellowship and Mastership with the ICOI. He is also an examiner with the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Dr Santosh is also the author of PerioVista: Problem Solving in Periodontics, reflecting his passion for education and advancing knowledge in periodontal care.

He believes patients should feel informed and confident about their dental care. His calm, caring approach and ability to explain treatment clearly are especially reassuring for patients considering more complex procedures.

Outside dentistry, he enjoys travelling, exploring different cuisines and watching documentaries about science, history and current affairs.
