Patient chief complain : treat everything!

- multiple faulty treated before anterior ( front ) teeth , recurrent caries, bad fillings , bad oral hygiene, bad gum.
- tooth #8 with poor root canal treatment.
- patient neglect to his own smile.

Treatment:
1- increase the oral care awareness and gum health
2- replace all defected old fillings with new clean ones (9 fillings)
3- rct retreat of tooth #8 with whole tooth build up
4- lastly cosmetic treatment including 5 veneers and 1 crown only.

Patient awareness to the treatment process is the key.

Can we do rct in 1 visit ?

Single visit to the dental office for root canal treatment is actually very recommended under certain criteria of case selection.

No medications needed, less contamination, less chance of errors, less time for the time.

Tooth #29 with deep distal caries, treated using bioceramic sealer single cone and final filling ( core build up ) in a single visit.

No 3-5 visits , just science and patient cooperation.

Hidden caries:
a term used on teeth where the outer layer of the tooth (enamel) looks fine but the inside the tooth is decayed (dentine)

Patient would have no symptoms at all 🤷🏻‍♂️ until one day a severe pain will come and the tooth would either be root canal treated or worse, broken and extracted….

Regular check up save your teeth with minimal cost !

a frenum: small fold of tissue that prevents an organ in the body from moving too far.

A frenectomy is a simple procedure designed to remove or loosen the tissue that connects your gums and lips to your teeth. The goal of the procedure is to :
-improve the health and appearance of your smile.
-help orthodontic movements.

In our scenario we needed this procedure to help close the diastema between upper front teeth. The frenum will would not let that goal happen.

Removing it very simple done under Local anesthesia using diode laser.
Follow up after 2 weeks

-poor oral hygiene , totally destructed tooth #19 and very very sensitive #20.

Ttt: Root canal of tooth #19, re- root canal of tooth #20 + total tooth build up.

TTT: a root canal treatment with respect to the canals morphology - single cone - bioceramic sealer - margin and core build up - crowned 👑

Patient came after 1.5 years to continue fillings as she start having sensitivity, clearly the decaye and cavity is bigger now.
