بعد سقوط السن اللبني، من المفترض أن يبدأ السن الدائم بالظهور تدريجيًا. لكن تأخر ظهوره قد يرتبط بعدة أسباب، منها ضيق المساحة، تغيّر مسار بزوغ السن، وجود سن زائد أو بقائه داخل العظم.

لذلك، إذا مرّ وقت طويل دون ظهور السن الدائم، يُنصح بإجراء فحص لدى طبيب أسنان الأطفال لتحديد السبب والتدخل في الوقت المناسب.

After a baby tooth falls out, the permanent tooth should gradually begin to appear. However, delayed eruption may be caused by limited space, an altered eruption path, an extra tooth, or the tooth remaining impacted within the bone.

If the permanent tooth takes too long to appear, a pediatric dental check-up is recommended to identify the cause and take the right action at the right time.
